Measure, Manage &
Report Your Greenhouse
Gas Emissions
GCEEC's GHG Platform is a purpose-built emission accounting and disclosure solution for UAE and GCC enterprises. Automate your Scope 1, 2 & 3 inventory, generate audit-ready compliance reports, and accelerate your journey toward UAE Net Zero 2050 — all from a single, secure cloud platform.
Understanding Your Carbon Footprint Starts with Accurate Measurement
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting is the systematic process of identifying, quantifying, and reporting emissions of carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), nitrous oxide (N₂O), and other greenhouse gases produced directly or indirectly by your organisation's operations and value chain.
For UAE businesses, accurate GHG accounting is no longer optional. Federal and emirate-level sustainability regulations, UAE Vision 2031, and the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative all require organisations to measure and disclose their emissions. International investors, banks, and supply chain partners increasingly demand credible, third-party-verified carbon data as a condition of doing business.
GCEEC's GHG Platform gives your organisation a structured, auditable, and fully automated framework — from raw activity data to published disclosure reports aligned to GHG Protocol, ISO 14064-1, TCFD, GRI 305, CDP, and IFRS S2 requirements.
Direct Emissions
Emissions from sources your organisation owns or controls — fuel combustion in boilers, furnaces, generators, company-owned vehicles, and on-site industrial processes.
Indirect Energy Emissions
Emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, steam, heat, or cooling consumed by your organisation. Reported using both market-based and location-based methods.
Value Chain Emissions
All other indirect emissions across the value chain — from purchased goods & services, capital goods, employee commuting, business travel, and product end-of-life.
Third-Party Verification
ISO 14064-3 conformant verification support with built-in audit trails, data lineage, and documentation packs to streamline independent assurance engagements.

Report & Comply
Generate publication-ready reports for any framework — TCFD, GRI, CDP, UAE MOCC, or IFRS S2 — with one click and share directly with regulators, investors, or board members.
Built for UAE & International Compliance
Every major global and regional disclosure framework is pre-built into the platform, so you can comply with multiple requirements simultaneously.
A Complete End-to-End GHG Management Suite
Five integrated modules that cover every stage of your organisation's emission management lifecycle.
The Emissions Data Management module is the foundation of your GHG programme. It provides a structured, multi-year data warehouse for all activity data — from fuel consumption logs and electricity invoices to refrigerant top-ups and process records. Role-based access ensures each business unit or facility can submit their own data, while central controllers maintain data governance and approval authority.
The Calculations Engine transforms raw activity data into verified tCO₂e figures using an up-to-date library of globally recognised emission factors. The engine handles all unit conversions, GWP weighting, and uncertainty ranges automatically — removing the risk of manual spreadsheet error and ensuring methodological consistency across reporting periods.
Produce publication-quality reports for every major framework from a single data set. The Reporting & Disclosure module uses smart templates that auto-populate all quantitative fields, leaving your sustainability team to focus on narrative quality rather than data wrangling. Reports can be branded, password-protected, and shared via secure links.
Move beyond measurement to action. The Target Setting module allows you to define absolute and intensity-based reduction targets aligned to Science-Based Targets (SBTi) or your own corporate Net Zero strategy. Scenario modelling tools show how different reduction initiatives affect your emission trajectory.
Engage every stakeholder in your GHG programme through a purpose-built portal with role-specific views. Suppliers submit their emission data via a simplified interface. Third-party verifiers access evidence packs and audit logs. Board members and investors view an executive dashboard with real-time progress against targets — all controlled through granular permission settings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most from UAE organisations starting or expanding their GHG programmes.
These three standards overlap significantly. The GHG Protocol Corporate Standard is the most widely used methodology globally — it defines how to measure and account for emissions. ISO 14064-1 is an international standard that formalises many of the same concepts and is required by some regulators and verifiers. UAE MOCC (Ministry of Climate Change & Environment) guidelines are the national regulatory requirement for UAE-based entities. GCEEC's platform satisfies all three simultaneously because a single inventory, calculated correctly, can be reported in all three formats with no duplication of effort.
Absolutely. The platform includes guided manual data entry forms and Excel-based bulk import templates with built-in validation. Our onboarding team provides structured data collection templates and will help you identify the right activity data sources (fuel invoices, utility bills, mileage logs, etc.) across your operations. Most organisations can complete their first Scope 1 & 2 inventory within two to four weeks of starting, even from a standing start.
Scope 3 emissions are currently voluntary under most UAE regulations, but they are required by TCFD, CDP, GRI 305, and IFRS S2 disclosures — which many UAE companies now face pressure to complete from international investors, lenders, and customers. The platform supports all 15 GHG Protocol Scope 3 categories using both spend-based and activity-based methods. You can start with just Scope 1 & 2 and progressively add Scope 3 categories as your programme matures.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). The platform is hosted on ISO 27001-certified cloud infrastructure with UAE and GCC data residency options available for Enterprise customers. Role-based access control (RBAC) ensures each user can only see and edit data relevant to their role. We maintain a full audit log of every data access and change event. Regular third-party penetration testing and SOC 2 compliance processes are part of our security programme.
Yes. The platform is specifically designed to make ISO 14064-3 and ISAE 3410 verification engagements efficient and evidence-complete. Verifiers can be granted read-only access to the platform, where they can review raw data, calculation methodologies, emission factor sources, and the complete audit trail. The platform also exports a structured "verification evidence pack" — a document bundle containing all primary data, calculations, assumptions, and supporting documents that an independent verifier needs to complete a limited or reasonable assurance engagement.
Starter and Professional plans can typically be configured and ready for data input within five business days. Enterprise implementations with custom integrations and multi-entity structures typically take two to six weeks. All plans include a structured onboarding session with a GCEEC sustainability specialist. Professional and Enterprise customers receive ongoing support from a dedicated customer success team and regular check-in calls.
Yes. GCEEC operates UAE and regional data centres for all commercial customers. Data residency within the UAE is available as standard on Professional and Enterprise plans, and can be configured on request for Starter customers. The platform is fully compliant with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and GDPR for organisations with European obligations, ensuring your data governance requirements are met without compromise.
Yes. Every Professional and Enterprise customer is assigned a dedicated onboarding specialist who guides your team through platform configuration, boundary-setting, data import, and your first inventory completion. They remain your primary point of contact throughout the engagement and can be escalated to GCEEC's wider team of environmental consultants for technical or regulatory advice beyond the platform itself.
